The word engineering signals that AI is only for people with specialized skills — coders, techies, or those who speak in system prompts. For many non-technical people, hearing “prompt engineering” feels like being told: this isn’t for you.

At its best, AI interaction doesn’t require engineering. It requires clarity, empathy, and a bit of imagination. We should be designing for conversation more than construction.
